This weekend I have been an absolute layabout. All I did yesterday was go to Costco. All I've done today is clean off my desk and make a half-hearted attempt to read the paper. The rest of my time has been mostly been spent watching TV.

It's been good.

Today while cleaning my desk, I found Grampa's Christmas 2000 gift to me - a note saying that since I didn't want shoes from his favorite mail order catalog, that 10 CDs from Columbia House would be his gift to me, and that a new catalog was due to arrive soon.

I remember it arriving, and I remember half-heartedly looking through it one of the times I was there for dinner, or after shopping, or something. We didn't talk about ordering anything though.

I think the note will mean more to me than the CDs would have. God, I miss him.
