Grampa's former house is for sale. I lived there after he moved into the assisted living complex, from August 1995 until August 1996. I adored living there. The wallpaper and paint were hideous mid-70s, but the bones of the house were gorgeous. He put it on the market, and wanted the appraised value, which at the time I couldn't afford. He got an offer, I moved out, the offer fell through, and months later he took an offer for half the house's worth.

Fast forward to today, when I drove by it and saw that it was for sale. Holy crap!!!

It's 50K too expensive, and I don't need a house that large, and it'll cost a fortune to heat and cool, and and and but but but.
