First: Happy birthday to Mary and Karen, and happy pre-birthday to Kath.

Second: I love my car. Every time I get in it I'm convinced I made the right decision. I posted a few new pictures here. They start with the new license plate frame one.

Third: I'm very proud that I actually defrosted the freezer today. Spraying nonstick cooking spray on it the last time I defrosted it, and putting cling wrap along the bottom both definitely helped this time, so I repeated the process.

Fourth: I own far too many versions of Handel's Messiah. I was listening to a truly abysmal one by the 101 Strings earlier, but now I'm on to the best one I have, the one by John Eliot Gardiner from the early 80's, with period instruments and chorus. It's stupdenous.

Fifth: I need a vacation. I'll be going to the farm in Vermont soon, I think.
